Meatballs with Christmas spices have become a delightful addition to our holiday table. The warm flavors of allspice, cloves, and cinnamon bring a cozy, festive touch to this classic dish.
Christmas Meatballs
Ingredients:
- 400 g (14 oz) ground meat
- 4 tbsp rolled oats
- 100 ml (1/2 cup) cream
- 1 small onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Measure the rolled oats into a bowl and mix with cream.
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. If you want, you can sauté them in oil in a frying pan until softened.
Add the onion and garlic to the oats and cream mixture. Add the ground meat, spices, and chopped parsley. Mix until smooth and well combined.
With dampened hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs.
Fry the meatballs in batches in a frying pan with butter or oil, or bake them in a 250°C (480°F) oven for about 15 minutes.
